In five months I’m going to vote for one of the two most disliked candidates to ever run for the office of President of the United States. (I only used the word “hated” above to get you to read this).
As your friend it doesn’t matter whom I’m voting for. We’ll still be friends. Unless you’re voting for the other one. Then we may have an argument. And since each of these candidates seem to bring out so much vitriol, it could be a big argument. I don’t want that. I cherish our friendship. Really, I do.
So, let’s make a deal.
Let’s not talk about it.
Let’s journey on like we always do in our friendship.
I’ve lived, so far, through thirteen different Presidents.
Throughout their terms I’ve been very busy with:
Waiting, just waiting…(Fill in your own blank…doctor, dentist, DMV, etc)
Learning lots more Stuff
Surfing and Googling
Just getting through the day
Most of the time whoever the damn President is doesn’t affect my daily stuff. I’m busy.
Now grant it, a couple of those guys could have got me into a war, but I was just lucky. Good timing. And grant it, either of these two newbies could do the same for my grandkids. I hope not.
But for now I’d love to skim through Facebook without all the political shit. I’d just like to see your kids, grandkids, vacation photos, and know what you’re up to.
No hate stuff. Not worth it.
Is that cool?
Have a great weekend. I am.
