About Bako Heat

Bako Heat, sometimes called magoo, is a cuddly curmudgeon who finds himself busier in retirement than his work years.  He spent half his life (so far) in Indiana and the 2nd half (so far) in California. He enjoys the desert climate and surrounding mountains of Bakersfield, the vineyards of Napa, the beaches of Newport and everything about San Francisco.  He enjoys writing (three novels and dozens of short stories) and playing music.  The only thing greater than his children are their children.  Somehow he won the heart of the most incredible woman on earth.  Probably where the term “Luck of the Irish” came from.

Dan’l – I still vividly remember that fateful day at the Disneyland NAMM show when you “appeared” and what a fortunate day for me and SLM. Some memorable times with you “Nervous & Jerky” Curt, and the good ‘ole day in the fun music business. Keep up the awesome writing, I follow it closely and thoroughly enjoy your with and wisdom.

Great hearing from you Don. I spent a couple of days with Curt last year and a few this year. Last year he had me doing over 70 mph in a Seado0 on his lake. This year he had me doing off-road Segway riding. Unbelievable.

Look forward to reading your stuff! Thought about writing about life in Lookeba from my dog’s perspective, too make it interesting, but they might commit me.
